The current temperature is 23 degrees Fahrenheit with a dewpoint of 20 degrees. Last night we received some freezing rain/snow that turned into ice, which made for some unsafe conditions this morning.

In the picture above, you can see there is warmer weather on the eastern side of the country due to a maritime tropical. Tonight the continental polar will move in, bringing colder temperatures. Later this week southerly winds will move in bringing warmer temps. In the map you can see an occluded front, separating a cold air mass and a warm air mass. Unfortunately, we are stuck on the colder side.
